The secret to organization…..
If you’re anything like me (or half the student body), you know that staying organized and on task isn’t always the easiest thing to do.
Organization is something a lot of people lack, but no matter how many times we try to avoid this, we know that it’s one of the main aspects of our school and personal life.
So listen up, no more running after the bus, no more forgetting your H.W at home, and definitely…..no more sitting on the couch because your desk is too unorganized, because I’m going to tell you the secret of organization…
1. Goal of the Day!
Make a set of realistic goals to achieve daily. Have a math test next week? Make time for a 30 minute study everyday. Have a huge history skit due in two weeks? Start writing your script. Make a goal, write it down and get to work!
2. Write It Down
After a huge day at school you most likely forgot about everything. So don’t wait till the last minute, make a schedule saying what you will do and when you will do it. Remember not to put too much pressure on yourself, and take 5 minute breaks every now and then.
3. Time to Study!
So you go home and take out your H.W. but as you look around you start to not want to work anymore. Wondering why? It probably has to do with the fact that your desk is a mess! Don’t force yourself into working where you don’t want to. Take time to clean up your work space. That way, when you do work you’ll feel comfortable.
4. 5 more minutes.
We all have that moment when we just won’t leave our beds. So instead of waking up 20 minutes before the bus, try waking up a little bit earlier. That way you can take your time while dressing up and not have to run after the bus.
5. I Can’t Believe I Forgot that Again!
After waking up and having to rush out of the door to catch your ride, you forgot to put in your english note book. Again! Instead of packing your bag directly before leaving, try doing it before you sleep or directly when you wake up!
These are our 5 tips on being organized. They might need some getting use to, but hopefully they will help you out!
